I have a story to tell you about this prefecture. I came across an advertisement about the interesting phenomenon about illuminating squid that coming to the shore in Toyama. I didn’t want to miss out on this event. I planned out the trip and made my way there one evening. I arrived there close to midnight. These squid drew a huge audience as the parking lot was full of other people interested in this timely event. We waited. Then we waited some more. Before you knew it, many people started to go home because nothing was appearing in the water. I wish I could have seen this event but the squid did not show up that night. If you are ever in Toyama during March to June try to see these squids. They will surely make an interesting photo op!
